Or you could, you know, open drilling locations both on land and offshore, to tap into huge known reserves, add to available supply, and relieve demand pressures, driving prices down. And add jobs to help the economy. And help the economy further with cheaper oil and gas, which is likely to spur the economy even further. And take away leverage from the oil companies that we’re supposed to hate. And stick it to Hugo Chavez, the mullahs in Iran, the corrupt Saudi oil regime, the Russians, and every other natural enemy of our national interests that — it just so happens — enjoys windfall profits because of stupid energy policies that destroy our economy and our wealth.
Whichever is easier.
