Washington Examiner: For Obama Team, Transparency Means Sneaking Off To A Coffee Shop
Hmmm. Fighting requests for visitor logs, including FOUR lawsuits; releasing 1% of the names of White House visitors; granting special ethics waivers so that lobbyists could take key policy positions; meeting at Caribou coffee to avoid full disclosure, instead of at the White House.
Sure sounds to me like the Obama White House was less than honest about the promise to be fully transparent. Shocking, isn’t it?
Of course, politics has long been corrupted by lobbyist cash and influence, and God only knows what kind of under-the-table deals are made every day to screw the taxpayer in new and inventive ways. So this is nothing new. But there is a lot of evidence that Obama has taken it to new heights.
So … you Obama supporters and independents OK with this? If so, why?
