This is an excellent example of how the media reframes information and changes context to spin political stories in a leftward direction. This goes on ALL the time, every day, 24x7, and has for decades, by nearly the entire monolithic mainstream media.

The result - and the goal - is a citizenry that is generally under-informed, which is actually worse than un-informed. Why? Because when you think you understand things that you don’t, you make bad decisions. In elections, for example. And in deciding what your own policies are.

You may have heard of Sharyl Attkisson, she’s the only reporter at CBS that seemed to want to get to the bottom of the Benghazi scandal. Without her persistence in finding and reporting the truth, it’s very likely that this story would have been buried by the media. Keep that in mind as you read this…

The brother of a top Obama administration official is also the president of CBS News, and the network may be days away from dropping one of its top investigative reporters for covering the administration’s scandals too aggressively.

CBS News executives have reportedly expressed frustration with their own reporter, Sharyl Attkisson, who has steadily covered the Obama administration’s handling of the Benghazi terrorist attack in Libya since late last year.

“Network sources” told Politico Wednesday that CBS executives feel Attkisson’s Benghazi coverage is bordering on advocacy, and Attkisson “can’t get some of her stories on the air.”

Attkisson, who is in talks to leave the network before her contract expires, has been attempting to figure out who changed the Benghazi talking points for more than five months.

“We still don’t know who changed talking points but have had at least 4 diff explanations so far,” Attkisson tweeted on November 27, 2012.

But on Friday, ABC News reported that the Benghazi talking points went through 12 revisions before they were used on the public. The White House was intimately involved in that process, ABC reported, and the talking points were scrubbed free of their original references to a terror attack.

That reporting revealed that President Obama’s deputy national security advisor, Ben Rhodes — brother of CBS News president David Rhodes — was instrumental in changing the talking points in September 2012.

ABC’s reporting revealed that Ben Rhodes, who has a masters in fiction from NYU, called a meeting to discuss the talking points at the White House on September 15, 2012.

Let me sum this up. The brother of the president of CBS news works in the Obama administration and is reported to have been hands-on in helping the administration change the CIA talking points. Reports by Sharyl Attkisson, a reporter for CBS who was determined to find out who changed the CIA documents, suddenly went away. Just think about this for a second, had CBS been the only news agency, the story of what happened in Benghazi would have been purposely and successfully covered up. Thank goodness for ABC and Sharyl Attkisson.

Does anyone else think it’s ironic that Ben Rhodes has a masters degree in fiction?

Nice theory, but the places that have implemented the draconian gun control measures that Bloomberg wants have seen an increase in gun violence — which would obviously include murder of young people — and had their laws thrown out by the Supreme Court.

Chicago and Washington, D.C., I’m lookin’ at you. But Bloomberg isn’t looking at those places or anywhere else except his fantasy world where the simple act of making guns illegal causes gang-bangers — who break laws for a living — to start obeying them instead.

Laws only impact the behavior of the law-abiding. Is this hard to understand?

Pro-life group Live Action has released two undercover videos as part of their project, titled “Inhuman: Undercover in America’s Late-Term Abortion Industry,” that exposes late-term abortion practices in clinics from across the country, starting with clinics in Bronx, N.Y., and Washington, D.C.

The graphic descriptions of late-term abortion practices documented in the grand jury report against abortionist Kermit Gosnell, whose Women’s Medical Society abortion clinic has been nicknamed the “House of Horrors,” has led Planned Parenthood to label Gosnell as an outlier, while pro-life groups claim that unsanitary, unsafe and even illegal practices in Gosnell’s West Philadelphia clinic are standard operating procedure in the abortion industry.

Lila Rose, founder and president of Live Action, a pro-life group based in Arlington, Va., told The Christian Post on Monday that their six-month undercover investigation “exposes the brutal reality that Gosnell is not an outlier.”

The first two videos show an 11-year veteran employee at Dr. Emily Women’s Health Center in Bronx, N.Y., describing the abortion in detail, and then advising the patient, who is six months pregnant, to flush her baby down the toilet if she goes into labor at home while undergoing the two-day abortion procedure. In Washington, D.C., the same patient is told by abortionist Dr. Cesare Santangelo of the Washington Surgi-Clinic that if her baby survives, he will not provide life-saving care, even though the federal Born Alive Infants Protection Act would require him to save the baby.

Santangelo tells the patient that if her baby is born alive after he cuts the umbilical cord, the baby’s survival would depend on “how vigorously you do things to help a fetus survive. We would not help it. We would not intubate.”

Rose said her aim is not only to expose the illegal actions being committed at abortion clinics, but also to expose the reality of abortion that is covered up by sanitized words, and to show the abortionists ‘willingness to commit infanticide.

We should not let pro-life vs. pro-choice provide the template to frame such heinous and barbaric statements. This is bigger than that. This is about killing viable babies. But, you say, these people are just talking hypothetically, purely a “what if” scenario. Just a couple of special cases. Are you sure? It’s kinda hard to tell with all the various scandals and admissions from multiple state health departments that they decided to stop inspecting abortion providers years ago due to politics and a desire, apparently, to help the baby-killers ramp up their business.

Obviously, Kermit Gosnell and his House of Horrors is not the outlier that Planned Parenthood says it is. You have to wonder just how many of these people are out there, and why they aren’t all rotting in prison right now. You have to wonder how many other lies Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry, and all who defend them, have told us over the years.

And you really have to wonder just how many thousands of innocent babies were slaughtered by these vermin.

In related news, last week President Obama said “Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you.” Instead of “God bless you”, I’d use a different phrase ending in “you”.

All in all, something obviously does not smell right here. This quote from George Neumayr at the American Spectator sums it up neatly: “It is almost as if the Obama administration considers security vigilance itself a species of Islamophobia”.

I’ll go further: there is no “almost” about it. That’s exactly what the Obama administration thinks. That’s also what the Pentagon thinks, and what the FBI thinks, and what the State Department thinks … and if you doubt me, you probably aren’t paying enough attention.

I’m not asking for our government to tarnish innocent people and sweep up all Muslims and treat them as violent hate-filled lunatics. I have absolutely nothing against peaceful people of any religion. What I’m asking is that they recognize a threat for what it is, and admit the two obvious truths that all people with both eyes wide open can plainly see: (1) most Muslims are not terrorists, but (2) most terrorists are Muslims.

Both are true. Let’s start there. Let’s stop playing games with our security. Let’s move away from the silly and insulting trope that America is filled with hateful intolerant morons who cannot recognize that both of those things are true, and that it’s OK. Let’s stop pretending that the biggest threat today is from Christians or Tea Party-ers, since those are nothing more than political fantasies invented to marginalize those groups. Let’s stop, shall we, with the mythical status of the “Muslim backlash” that never happened and never will because Americans generally have better things to do than invest energy and emotion towards hate and violence..

We cannot protect ourselves and our children if we cannot even speak plainly and honestly about the threats we face. It’s really as simple as that.

The Mississippi man charged with sending poisoned letters to President Barack Obama, a U.S. senator and a state judge was released from jail on Tuesday, federal official said, though the reason for the release wasn’t immediately clear.

Jeff Woodfin, chief deputy with the U.S. Marshals Service in Oxford, Miss., said Paul Kevin Curtis has been released from custody. Woodfin said he doesn’t know if there were any conditions on the release.

In their haste to slander and libel a center-right political movement that they despise, many opinion “leaders” in the leftist media plus other under-informed Internet yahoos wasted no time in offering their half-baked theories about the identity and motive of the Boston Marathon bombing. Sadly for them and for us, this behavior is quite typical, as well as consistently misleading.

Of course, they were completely wrong, but if you are waiting for the apology tour, don’t hold your breath:

NPR’s “All Things Considered” aired a segment in which the tax-subsidized network’s counterterrorism reporter, Dina Temple-Ralston, declared: “April is a big month for anti-government, and right wing, individuals. There’s the Columbine anniversary. There’s Hitler’s birthday. There’s the Oklahoma City bombing. There’s the assault on the Branch Davidia compound in Waco. And the FBI right now is comparing this to the Eric Rudolph case.” Rudolph is the fringe right-winger behind the Atlanta Olympics bombing in 1996.
National Journal’s James Kitfield wrote: “The timing of the attack on ‘Patriot’s Day,’ which coincides with the April 15 deadline for filing federal taxes, suggests a possible link with right-wing, antigovernment extremist groups.” Kitfield quoted an expert Philipp Mudd, who claimed “right-wing extremists have been growing in numbers and power in recent years.” (In fairness, Kitfield’s report also explored the possibility of a jihadist attack.)
A CNN.com article by Tim Lister and Paul Cruickshank asserted without evidence that the use of pressure cookers in bomb construction is “a recipe that has been adopted by extreme right-wing individuals in the United States.” (As an aside, does this mean we now have to worry about culinary profiling? That would be good news for Eads Appliance Technology, whose Sous Vide Supreme has only nonviolent applications.)
MSNBC aired an interview with Harvard’s Jessica Stern, who observed that a recipe for a similar bomb was published in an al Qaeda magazine—and on that basis speculated of a fringe-right connection! “It’s also important to recognize that the recipe was shared and lauded by Stormfront, which is a neo-Nazi website. And the whole idea of leaderless, which comes out of the far right neo-Nazi patriot movement, also spread over to al Qaeda-related groups.”
The day of the bombing, MSNBC aired an interview wit Adam Lankford, a criminal justice scholar, who said of the bombers: “We don’t know whether they’re trying to complain about abortion, about taxes. This did happen on tax day in Boston, the place of the Tea Party. Or are they trying to protest, you know, foreign wars or something?”

Turning a tragedy into a political soapbox is seen as a positive, not a negative, by these ignorant, shameless assclowns, even though they are the first to pretend that they are the objective ones and only Fox News is biased. Ignorant and hateful is no way to go through life, yet they make a living this way.

Evidence? Who needs evidence? Just run opportunistically with the fact that it was income tax day and Patriot’s Day in Massachusetts and blame it on the Tea Party. Because they are setting off bombs all the time. Well, they aren’t, actually — there are exactly zero credible incidents of violence of any kind in the history of the Tea Party. But in the Through the Looking Glass world in which we live today, that fact is less important than the constant yapping by the president and his cheerleaders in Congress and the media that pretends the Tea Party is violent in order to discredit the ideas that the Tea Party represents: jobs and economic growth through lower government spending, taxes, and regulation.

Stop beclowning yourselves. You look like idiots. Wake up to the new reality: there are non-violent people motivated by ideas — not hatred — who have good reasons to disagree with monolithic leftist platitudes about government, taxes, and the economy.

Appearing on “Hannity” Wednesday night, the Investigative Project on Terrorism’s Steve Emerson reported that Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, the Saudi national who was briefly named a “person of interest” in the Boston Marathon bombings, is being deported on Tuesday. He based his information on a number of his confidential sources.

“I just learned from my own sources that he is now going to be deported on national security grounds next Tuesday,” Emerson said.

Host Sean Hannity referenced a report by Reuters that revealed President Barack Obama met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal at the White House Wednesday. They reportedly discussed the conflict in Syria.

“The meeting was not on Obama’s public schedule,” the report adds.

Sources tell TheBlaze that the Saudi national is set to be deported on “security and related grounds.” His visa also has been revoked. Below is some of the information that has been communicated to us:
1. One source at the FBI and another at the Saudi Embassy referred to the student as connected to an important Saudi family.
2. An “event” was created on this guy three days ago. An event is a file. The file contains his deportation record and the reason he is being deported. According to ICE the reason is under section 212 3B — “Security and related grounds” – “Terrorist activities”
3. His visa has been revoked.
4. The FBI said a file was started “just in case he was found to be connected to the crime,” however, the file shows he was scheduled to be deported. This was not a precaution, it was in “orders.”
5. One source said they believe a “voluntary” departure has been signed — that means the Saudi Student could be out of the country as early as today.
6. The file was immediately classified. We believe the deportation order will be classified as well — requiring a FOIA to get it.
7. The story was going to be “he wanted to go home,” however he was actually being deported.
8. Our source said the FBI believes the Saudi student is tied to 2 to 3 more people.
9. Our source said this “looks like they were trying to make this a ‘lone wolf’ crime so, the Saudi government would be spared embarrassment and the U.S. would avoid explaining how a terror cell was active when we had Al Qaida on the run.”
