Capitalism Magazine - Hate is not a Crime
Hate is not a crime? Well of course not.
Hate is an emotion, a feeling, a state of mind. Its internal. It exists only within the mind of an individual.
A crime, however, is an action. A physically observable behavior. It exists in the empirical world, always involves some type of external entity to the person committing it, whether against another person, or a piece of property.
There is an obvious and easily discerned boundary there, separating thoughts from actions.
DUH. This is not complicated.
But our government geniuses have bypassed that silly and obvious limitation, to “do something” and “fix” things for us. And we, like good sheeple, go along with this ridonkulous bullshit, because we unwisely trust their ability to limit their actions when crossing boundaries exactly like this, despite the countless examples throughout history of abuses of power by government.
In fact, we would be smarter to keep a watchful eye on them, and assume they will push every boundary they can, just like a three-year-old.
It’s also good to remember that Lord Acton had good reasons for writing “power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely”. Giving government the power to legislate the types of thoughts and emotions we are permitted to keep to ourselves is is a really, really bad idea.
The intended result of this scam is that governments and universities will wield the power to decide what sort of political and religious criticism is off-limits and what will be allowed. By screaming, “hate speech” at everything they don’t like, they hope to obtain carte blanche to censor at will. But the plan only works if people are afraid of the word “hate,” so don’t let the hate haters fool you. They’re not about freedom from hatred, they’re about hatred of freedom.
